This kilim is made using a traditional tapestry weaving technique, with small slits sometimes appearing where blocks of colour meet. These can resemble tiny holes and are a natural characteristic of the weave, not a flaw.

A beautifully composed handwoven Afghan kilim featuring an intricate arrangement of geometric diamond motifs in a sophisticated palette of olive green, sage, deep teal, soft aqua blue, nude, beige and warm chocolate brown. The combination of muted earthy shades and delicate pastel accents creates a harmonious design that feels both contemporary and timeless.

The composition is built around a rhythmic sequence of elongated diamond-shaped motifs, each featuring distinctive angular detailing and contrasting geometric centres. Arranged in carefully balanced vertical and horizontal repetitions, these decorative forms create a captivating sense of movement across the surface.

Soft nude and beige tones introduce warmth and lightness, beautifully complementing the deeper teal and chocolate brown accents. The olive green background brings the composition together, creating a subtle, earthy foundation that allows each geometric motif to stand out without overwhelming the overall design.

A decorative border of smaller geometric symbols frames the central composition, adding definition and architectural structure. The contrast between the intricate diamond motifs and the more restrained border creates a beautifully balanced visual effect.

Its distinctive combination of natural colours and geometric detailing makes this kilim particularly versatile in both traditional and contemporary interiors. Whether placed in a living room, bedroom, dining area or creative space, it introduces warmth, personality and understated artistic character. The muted palette pairs beautifully with natural wood, antique furniture, linen upholstery, warm neutrals, terracotta accents and richly textured interiors.

Subtle tonal variations within the natural wool enhance the kilim's organic appearance, while the carefully arranged motifs create depth and visual interest. The combination of traditional geometric patterns and a refined, contemporary colour palette gives the piece a distinctive character that feels both decorative and effortlessly elegant.

Measuring 196 cm × 291cm cm, this elongated kilim is particularly well suited to spacious hallways, entrance areas, bedrooms and narrow living spaces, where its geometric composition can be appreciated in full.

Flatwoven from 100% natural wool, the kilim is lightweight, reversible and suitable for everyday use. Its tightly woven construction provides a practical and versatile surface, while hand-finished fringes along the two shorter ends complete the design with an authentic artisanal detail.

Each kilim is individually woven by skilled artisans in Northern Afghanistan using traditional weaving techniques and natural plant-based dyes. Small variations in motif, weave and colour are part of the handmade process, giving every piece its own distinctive character.
